Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
Gulmohar Entertainment (“Gulmohar”, “we”, “us”) produces South Asian events in New Jersey and sells tickets to them through GulmoharNJ.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this site, buy a ticket, create an account, or contact us — and what we do with it.
Information We Collect
When you buy tickets
Checkout is handled by Stripe, Inc. During checkout Stripe collects your name, email address, phone number, and billing address, and passes them back to us so we can issue your tickets. We store those details, along with your order — the event, ticket tiers, quantities, amount paid, and any coupon or bulk discount applied — in our database.
We keep a contact record for every ticket buyer, indexed by email address, so that we can reach you about the event you bought tickets to and recognise you as a returning guest. That record holds your name, email, phone number, how many orders you have placed, the total you have spent, which events you have attended, and whether you have opted in to hear about future events.
We never see or store your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page and are held by Stripe; our systems only ever receive a payment reference and the last-four/brand summary Stripe chooses to share.
When you create an account
Signing in is optional — you can buy tickets as a guest. If you do sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google and store a Firebase user record so you can see your past orders under “My Tickets”. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, or anything else from your Google account.
When you contact us
Our contact form collects your name, email address, and the message you write, so we can reply.
Automatically
Our hosting and security providers record standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — to keep the site running and to detect abuse. Our public pages also run the Meta Pixel for advertising — see Advertising and the Meta Pixel.
How We Use Your Information
- To process your payment and issue your tickets.
- To send you transactional messages about an order you placed — confirmations, receipts, ticket delivery, venue or schedule changes, cancellations, and refunds. These are not marketing and you receive them whether or not you opt in to anything.
- To contact you on event night if something urgent changes.
- To tell you about future Gulmohar events — only if you ticked the opt-in box at checkout or otherwise asked us to.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To manage entry at the door, prevent ticket fraud and duplicate scans, and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.
Marketing and How to Opt Out
Marketing email is opt-in. If you did not tick the box at checkout, we will not add you to our events mailing list. If you did and change your mind, email us at entertainmentgulmohar@gmail.com or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, and we will mark your record as opted out. You will still receive messages about tickets you have already bought.
Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We advertise our events on Facebook and Instagram. To measure how those ads perform, and to show our event ads to people who have visited this site, our public pages — the home page, events, past events and similar — run the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
On those pages the pixel sets an advertising cookie and sends Meta the pages you visit, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser. Meta may connect this with your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
We do not send Meta your name, email address, or phone number. When a card payment is confirmed, we tell Meta that a purchase happened and its total, so we can see which ads sell tickets — not who bought them or which tickets they chose. The pixel does not run on ticket pages or in our staff area.
Opting out
- Use “Opt out of targeted advertising” at the bottom of any page. The pixel then stays off in that browser.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically and never load the pixel.
- You can also manage ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Site Statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, how people find us, and how many visits lead to a ticket purchase. It sets cookies and sends Google the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your approximate location; Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
Before anything is sent, we remove the private parts of addresses: ticket links, the payment confirmation code and Zelle order links are never shared, and the staff area is not measured at all. Advertising features in Google Analytics are switched off. When a card purchase is confirmed, we record its total, never who made it.
The “Opt out of targeted advertising” link at the bottom of each page and a Global Privacy Control signal both turn Google Analytics off for you as well. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with data brokers. We share it only with:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, fraud prevention, and refunds.
- Google LLC (Firebase / Google Cloud / Google Analytics) — hosting, database, file storage, sign-in and site statistics for this site. Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — browsing activity on our public pages, through the Meta Pixel, unless you opt out (see above).
- Venues and event staff — a guest list limited to the names and ticket types needed to admit you on the night, where the venue requires one.
- Professional advisers and authorities — our accountants, or law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose.
How Long We Keep It
- Order and payment records: at least seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it.
- Your contact record: until you ask us to delete it, or until you have had no contact with us for five years.
- Contact form messages: up to two years after we reply.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
Your Rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you may ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you; correct anything that is wrong; delete your contact record and account; or stop sending you marketing. New Jersey, California, and other state privacy laws — and the GDPR, if you are in the UK or EU — give residents these rights explicitly, including the right to appeal if we turn a request down. We do not sell personal information for money. We do use the Meta Pixel for targeted advertising, which some state laws treat as sharing your data; you can opt out at any time as described above, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals automatically.
Email entertainmentgulmohar@gmail.com and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may have to keep order and payment records even after deleting your contact record, because we are legally required to retain them.
Cookies
This site uses cookies and similar browser storage only for things it needs to work: keeping you signed in if you choose to sign in, and Stripe's fraud-prevention checks during checkout. On public pages the Meta Pixel also sets advertising cookies (such as _fbp), and Google Analytics sets statistics cookies (such as _ga), unless you have opted out. Blocking cookies will prevent sign-in and may prevent checkout from completing.
Security
Payments run over Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. Our database rules deny public access to orders, tickets, and customer records outright — they are readable only by authorised Gulmohar staff accounts and by the server-side code that issues your tickets. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not hold card numbers, which is the data most worth stealing.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Age restrictions vary by event and are stated on each event page. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes to how we use your information will be notified by email to anyone affected.
